PD EDTA 17% SOLUTION – Smear Layer Removal
PD EDTA 17%, developed by PD, eases instrumentation and smear layer removal during chemo-mechanical root canal preparation. It is used for root canal irrigation, removal of debris, and rinsing.
Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) is a chelating agent that combines with the calcium ion and inactivates it, exerting a decalcifying effect on dentine. EDTA acts on the inorganic part of the smear layer and should be used alternately with a sodium hypochlorite solution to complete its dissolution.
Packaging: Bottle of 100 ml.
For dental professional use only.
